Homework 3: Shallow Depth of Field

Original

Edited

Compared to the previous set of images taken in deep depth of field, both images in this set are taken at a shallow depth indicated by low appeture of 4.5 at same shutter speed of 1/500. The color contrast, which is a special feature of this image also becomes more conspicuous due to the low depth of field.

The editing methodology is similar to the previous set of images. After cropping the image, iris blur is utilized to dissolve the background. In addition to that, the blur type also isolates other elements situated around the carved figures, hence making them the prime subject of the image.
