The image which I decided to name "The Walking Man" highlights a typical day in student's on-campus life. As noticeable, the image places the subject (walking student) at the center of the frame which isolates him from rest of the individuals who are either engaged with their mobile devices or conversating with their peers. The distinction is marked with all subjects getting treated with monochromatic grayscale with an exception of the student walking in the middle. The image is an attempt to explain the existing dichotomy between students of younger generation. For instance, the student walking in the center carrying his backpack represents a generalized image of a student formed by the society whereas the students on sidelines symbolize a new generation of students that has made portable technology an essential part of their lives.
